Eric Bohner appointed as new CEO
Eric Bohner has been Antenor’s new managing director since 1 March 2019. Eric is a true entrepreneur with more than 20 years of experience in the technological and financial sector. As a civil engineer, Eric has a strong technical background. He also brings years of software experience to Antenor.
For family reasons the retiring CEO, Geert Pauwels, will focus on a new social startup.
In 1998, Eric co-founded Capco, the company of Rob Heyvaert, which quickly established itself as a global player in banking information technology. After the acquisition of Capco by FIS, Eric founded Connective, a software company specialising in digital signatures and identity verification. In both companies, Eric was instrumental in both commercial expansion and product development.
“Antenor is a very healthy company, a leader in a market full of new challenges,” says Eric. “The Antenor products consist of a combination of hardware and software, which is new to me. On the other hand, I feel very familiar with the payment automation environment. Antenor is a strong team with a strong offer. Through product innovation and cooperation with our partners, we continue to market the best payment solutions for our customers.”
